Every church should have a CCLI License. This blanket license gives you permission to display the lyrics of 300,000+ songs on your screens or on paper. This license DOES NOT give you permission to copy music. Pricing is based on church size and is billed annually. CLICK HERE for a pricing chart.

CCLI Rehearsal License

The Rehearsal License is an optional add-on to the CCLI License that gives you permission to share original recordings with your team so they can prepare for worship. If you distribute songs digitally or any other way that prevents your team from having to purchase the song, you need this license. 99% of churches can be covered for less than $200/year. This is money well spent.

CCLI Streaming License

The Streaming License is an optional add-on to the CCLI License that allows you to stream (or podcast) the music portion of your service without paying copyright fees. This license covers Facebook, Youtube and all other streaming platforms. Pricing is based on church size and most churches can be covered for less than $100/year.

The Church Video License gives your church permission to show movie clips and full length feature films in your services and programs. This license is great for kids ministries and sermon illustrations. The Total Producer Package not only covers you legally, but also gives you access to download movie clips from ScreenVue.com. If you play lobby music, hold music, music during outdoor events, VBS or outreach events, you need this license to cover those activities. CCLI only covers music played during your normal service times. In addition to worship music, the CCS Licenses cover secular and holiday music. This site would be especially helpful if you were creating a worship album and needing to get licensing done on multiple songs. For $149/song they do all the leg work for you. Google has amazing tools that are free for everyone to use. Google Suite is a collection of apps that can be used for data management, word processing, scheduling, calendars and more. These apps are web-based so there’s no need to download any software and they work anywhere you have internet access. The colaboration tools (and the fact that they are free!) make G Suite a great option when choosing software to manage your church.

Planning.Center

Simply put, you should seriously consider using Planning Center apps in your church. Their suite of apps will help you get better at managing nearly every aspect of your church. They help you plan services, schedule volunteers, check-in kids, register people for events, manage groups, organize your facilities and so much more. The definitive leader when it comes to worship presentation software is Propresenter 6 by Renewed Vision. If you can think of it, Propresenter can do it. This stable software works on MAC and PC and has dozens of features that will make your lyrics and graphics look great for every service. TechSoup functions as a middle man between non-profits and software companies to provide software for a fraction of the retail cost. Churches with a 501c3 status can request software from Microsoft, Adobe, Inutit (Quick Books), Symantec and others. This is totaly legit. Example: Get the entire Microsoft Office suite for $29. That’s not monthly, that’s the total cost.
